Well folks, it's been a crazy ride, but the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive has been identified!

This morning at 8am, the Fugitive called Brian Ram and Miss L to tell them that this time of year can cause hibernation, but he's no bear, so he's somewhere curing starvation. He mentioned being with a neighbor of Henry as well.

Debbie Cassavah of Keeseville was hot on the trail and picked up the scent, which led her to the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Plattsburgh, where she found Clinton County Fair Manager Glenn Gillespie AND five thousand dollars waiting for her once she asked the magic question: "Are you the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive?"

This morning at 8am, the Fugitive asked Brian Ram and Miss L about this major concert announcement we've been talking up all weekend. He wanted to know if it was an exciting enough show to steal some tickets for himself. He decided not to, but did say that he's dropping a letter in the mail for us. We should have it in a day or two. What could it be?

At noon the Fugitive called Nate to let us all know that someone got VERY close, they asked a number of people in the location, but not everyone, and not the Fugitive. I suppose that's their loss and your gain! He also mentioned going to grab his usual Monday lunch. Bon appetit! Next clue comes at 4pm!

Thursday and Friday Clues

Thursday at Noon, our friendly Fugitive called Nate to clarify what he meant on Wednesday by "X marks the spot"... it's part of his 50 state plan, and he's looking at it now.

At 4pm he called to tell Lobo "I was here, but now I'm gone, I made this call to egg you on. See, I read Facebook too. Maybe I'm a fan of Eagle Country 97-5, maybe I'm not. Hmm.... but mark my words, I'm watching you too!" This seems to be in reference to all of you bounty hunters posting limericks of your own on our Facebook page. Great job!

On Friday morning, the Fugitive called Brian Ram and Miss L at 8am to tell them he was upset that he didn't make it over to Buffalo Wild Wings for our Halloweekend Party. But he didn't feel like taking the ferry. He also gave us a riddle: "What is covered yet open, and both an attraction and a detraction, depending on the time of year?"

At noon, the Fugitive called to tell us he's still working on that 50 state plan, and coincidentally, his lunch reflects that. He stated that if you know where the Magic Capital of the World is located, you're on the right track!

At 4pm he told us he was planning for a Friday night out, with dinner and a movie. His route includes traveling on 3 different interstate highways.

This sounds like an important clue! The Fugitive called this morning and said that someone once told him that one side is older than the other. One side is pointy, the other is rounded. He's on the side of pointy. What might this mean? Maybe we'll find out more at noon. Or maybe someone will nab him by then. Get out there Bounty Hunters! Well, another busy day for our hard-working bounty hunters!

At 8am, the Fugitive told Brian Ram and Miss L that he wants to travel, but never seems to have the time.

Instead, he'll settle for less and go for a walk.

At noon, he called to tell Nate that sometimes he makes his own lunch, but loves an ice cold soda to go with it. He mentioned hitting the pike and getting either a Coke or Pepsi, most likely Pepsi.

At 4pm, he called to tell Lobo that some of you are on the right track, and that he wasn't lying when he said that the clues point the way. Then he said something funny "it's not as easy as X marks the spot, or is it?"... what do you think that means? Our Bouny Hunters have been doing a lot of speculating. Let's see if one of you are correct!

Another day in the hunt for the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive. This morning, the Fugitive was off to wash and vac out his car. He prefers to do this himself, but could use some extra quarters.

At noon, he called to tell Nate that clink, clink, clink is a sound that he finds relaxing. And with all of you hot on his tail, he's a bit on edge.

It sounds like a few of you may be piecing together the past clues with the new ones and getting close. The money could be yours soon!

So, the Fugitive informed us at 8am that he's a slave for routine. He encourages you all to go back and listen to previous clues and see if you can figure out his pattern. At noon, he told us that he's a middle child, and maybe that's why he enjoys all of this attention. At 4pm, he called to tell Lobo that the 14th letter of the alphabet also happens to be the last letter of his first name.

Hello Bounty Hunters! So the Fugitive was in rare form on Thursday, stopping by to drop off a little note for Brian Ram and Miss L (see below).

The fugitive called at 8 to ask about doing an At-work Kickoff. At noon, they called to tell Nate that they're considering one of the biggest decisions a person can make. Something that involves travel, some patience, and giving credit where credit is due. Then at 4pm, Lobo got the call informing us of a near miss.... someone asked the Fugitive if they were the "Eagle Country" but couldn't manage to get the rest out. Close call! Keep up the hunt!

Tuesday and Wednesday Clues

Well, an interesting week in the hunt for the Eagle Country 97-5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive!

On Tuesday morning the Fugitive needed to run a couple of errands on the way to work, some coffee and then to the drug store. Thankfully those two things are next to each other. At noon the Fugitive was still running errands, and in the mood a sub. They mentioned all signs pointing to 3, or make that 4pm with Lobo. At 4pm, it was another limerick:

"Every day I come and go, some say hi, they never know
Its been a long and bumpy ride, now come see my softer side."

On Wednesday at 8am, the Fugitive called to tell Brian Ram and Miss L that being a Fugitive is raising the eyebrows of their spouse, with all of the secret phone calls and sneaking around. At noon, they mentioned sitting in a park with the newspaper... but which park!? They suggested looking over previous clues for the answer. At 4pm, the Fugitive said he/she could be in the Lake City, the Queen City, even the Rail City, or, maybe no city at all....

Friday and Monday Clues

Hey everyone, back from the long weekend, and here's the recap of the previous clues for Friday and Monday.

On Friday at 8am, the Fugitive left us with this little limerick:

People come from miles aroundto buy it local, fresh, and by the pound. I love this place this time of year, I'm the fugitive and I am near.

At noon the rhyming didn't stop:

Local is my theme today, there really is no other way. Smothered in onions and peppers may make you want to stay away. If not, hold your breathe and get your pay.

At 4pm with Lobo, a cryptic message:

I like this village by the lake and the blunder that I leave in my wake. I'll be eating pizza all alone. Stop on by and say hello.

Monday at 8am the Fugitive told us that one used to be a pyramid, one used to be a square, either way they were going to save some money.

At noon the Fugitive complained about money burning a hole in their pocket, but at least the crust and the stuffing wasn't burned.

At 4pm the Fugitive was lookinng to Red Box it grab some take-out, and asked all of us where the best lo mein is.

Thursday Clues

Well, from the looks of the activity on our Facebook page, a frustrating Thursday for our Bounty Hunters. The Fugitive did, however, share some vital information today.

At 8AM, they shared that they love Eagle Country 97.5, they love to sing along, and have been told that they're quite good.

At noon, the Fugitive stated that when you live in the Champlain Valley, you either live in town, or you don't. The Fugitive "don't".

And finally, at 4PM, the most exciting event of the day... a near miss! The Fugitive told Lobo that someone asked if he/she was the Bandit. The Fugitive said it was enough to rattle him/her a little bit, but they responded "no", and reminded us that the proper way to get the money is to call them by their real name... the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive!

Hey Bounty Hunters! Well, this morning this morning the Fugitive detailed to Brian and Miss L that they share a first name with a famous actress, but they obviously get their hair done at different places...

At noon the Fugitive called to tell Nate that "sometimes they're eggs, sometimes they're chickens, but where I'm headed, I prefer that they're breaded." He/she also mentioned that they're doubling down the chances that you'll find him/her.

Clue Update for Monday and Tuesday

Well, October is officially underway, and the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive is still out there. But, it seems like the Fugitive has switched gears a bit and is now sharing a little bit of personal information, versus where they're specifically located.

Here's the low-down:

Yesterday at 8am the fugitive shared that their favorite colors are red and blue, which also happen to be their school colors.

At noon he/she was in the mood for some lasagna, but wanted you to join. They even planned to spring for the breadsticks.

At 4pm, he/she shared that they were at the grocery store today and saw a person holding a sign asking “Are You the Eagle Country 97-5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive”… then mentioned heading home to watch the news.

Today at 8am, the Fugitive called and mentioned not having 20/20 vision.

At noon, he/she shared that they love gifts and the greatest gift that they've ever recieved is their children.

It's almost 4pm... what will the next clue bring?

Friday morning clue update... the Fugitive hits cyberspace!

So, the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive threw a fast on at us this morning, sending an email instead of the normal call. I nearly missed it. The message said that he/she wanted to hear a request "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere", and that if I played it, we'd get a clue. (I played it by the way)

So we got our clue; coffee isn't cutting it for the Fugitive anymore, they needed something with a little more kick, maybe some Monster Energy Drink.

Get Back That Line, and Get Back That 5K!

Well, a lot went down today in the hunt for the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive! This morning the Fugitive called Nate and was a bit full of him/herself. They saw the signs with their name on them (see post below) and felt that it was enough to elevate them to a whole new level of celebrity.

Shortly after, Nate tried to call back the Fugitive using Star 69 - no luck!

At noon, the Fugitive called Heidi to say that the Star 69 idea was clever, but not clever enough. He/she mentioned nearly choking on a munchkin.

At 4pm, Lobo was called and told that the Fugitive keeps tabs on what we're all discussing on the Eagle Country Facebook page, but was beat, so is going home to rest. Let's see what good news tomorrow brings. Keep up the good fight!!

Wednesday's Clues For Yous

Hey bounty hunters! Well, there certainly are a lot of you hot on the trail! Today the Fugitive ran some errands, and did a little shopping.

At 8am, the fugitive was off to take advantage of some good deals, and didn't want to forget the discount card.

At noon, they were shopping for some pants that would pair with an orange hoodie, somewhere where there's a smile on every isle.

At 4pm, the Fugitive revealed what was in that box from yesterday. A shiny new mp3 player. They also revealed that they purchased a big pair of new headphones to go with it.

Tomorrow could be the day, but why wait?! Get out there and ask everyone you see, "are you the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive?"

Tuesday Clue Recap

Well, yesterday was an interesting day in the hunt for the Eagle Country 97-5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive.... at 8am, the Fugitive talked to Nate and wanted to know where Brian Ram and Miss L were. Then he'she mentioned being fast on his feet, especially after that first cup of coffee, and said it was time to make some trouble.

At noon, talking with Heidi, the Fugitive mentioned being near a big clock, which came in handy to make sure he/she didn't get back late from lunch.

And at 4pm, he'she told Lobo that he was off to pick up a package that the mailman couldn't deliver, along with a promise to reveal what was inside that box on Wednesday... time will tell!

Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive Clue Recap

Well, it's been a busy week for the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive!

Starting on Monday, we learned that the fugitive has played along before and is a listener of the station. They're not a DJ or a member of the Eagle Country Street Team.

Tuesday showed us that the Fugitive gets up early to walk "Man's (or girl's) Best Friend," and that they're a fan of the happy hour.

Wednesday we learned that the fugitive parks monthly but only pays weekly, and has learned some valuable tips on avoiding bounty hunters from previous Fugitives. Also, the Fugitive thinks they're the TRUE Eagle Country 97.5 "driving home dog" instead of Lobo, especially when on the run.

Thursday showed us that the Fugitive pays attention to those of you who are trying to get some extra attention with those signs. In fact, the Fugitive tends to gravitate toward those people. At noon the Fugitive called a little bit late, with a tummy ache and was on the hunt for some Kayopectate. Later in the day he/she was looking for a place with some good soup.

Friday the fugitive was on foot with an orange hoodie, causing a bit of excitement from a few listeners who saw a guy on a motorscycle going the wrong way on I-89 in an orange jumpsuit. That wasn't the Fugitive, but it was certainly exciting, and was cause for a reminder that as Fugitive Bounty Hunters, we are not to pursue anyone by car, the Fugitive can only be apprehended on foot, and face to face.

Finally, today, Monday, one week since the initial crime, we've learned so far that the Fugitive was hoping to see Brian Ram and Miss L on Church Street this weekend, but had to end the call for fear of getting a ticket. At noon we learned that the Fugitive has no intention of dressing as a criminal for Halloween and is on the hunt for a more fitting costume.
