Friday 10/19 - 4PM

4PM - The Fugitive wants to know if you're ready for the weekend? It sounds like she is. She'll be doing laundry and baking cookies. She needs to get some supplies for that though. She says Star's sister should have everything she needs. She may also head out and bulls eye a few deals if she has time. And it wouldn't be a late October weekend without walk downtown. Tonight it's Italian... She's guaranteed to bring home a doggie bag. Yum!

Friday 10/19 - 12 Noon

12 Noon and our Fugitive wanted to know if Nate is short for Nathaniel? It does not, which the Fugitive found sad, as if it was, they'd both have similar names - three of these in a name is somewhat rare, she says. Speaking of threes, she suggests "how about three names?" She's heading to just such a place. She claims it's a religion to some, and this place is kind of a shrine. Lot's of trees around, even on the streets.

Friday 10/19 - 8AM

8AM and time for our Fugitive to kick back, let loose, and get ready for the weekend! She says her day involves shopping, and lots of it! She may need help reaching the top shelf though. She asks if someone will come to the aid of this damsel in distress. Especially one who's rocking the cowboy boots. Off to get her coffee now! Two Splenda and extra foam.

Thursday 10/18 - 4PM

4PM - Our Fugitive wonders if you could call a seafaring fugitive a pirate? She would! But if you want this money, you can't. The adventure continues this afternoon. From her research, the early 19th century was the golden age for this little port. Some remains.  blame the trains. Still stumped? 1975 is an important year. These buildings might not be here otherwise. They're much, much older though. I'm so glad they were saved

Thursday 10/18 - 12 Noon

12 Noon - Our Fugitive asks if you can believe that the smallest and the biggest are only 23 miles apart? They see that fat lady again. She's going to snap her picture, and then she's off on another seafaring adventure - from shore! This is a biggie though, with ties to the Lake City! There's a sign about it nearby.

Thursday 10/18 - 8AM

8AM - Our Fugitive says she'd love to be a seafaring Fugitive. But it's not fair to you. You'd never be able to catch her out on the open water. But, at least she can see where they were made. Not much to look at, but she'll scratch around anyway. Coffee in her starboard hand, camera in her port side.

Wednesday 10/17 - 4pm

4PM and our friend the Fugitive says she's wiped out. But she says she's not done over here yet. She still needs to snap a few shots in this lovely port village. She shared that some say that it rivaled Burlington at one point... the proof is all around her. The buildings are amazing. She goes on to say "no, it's not the city you're thinking of. I said village. Listen carefully." She's going to wander around a bit. What she's really looking for is a marker. "X marks the spot? Not really. It will be a blast though!" Have a blast finding her!!

Wednesday 10/17 - 12 Noon

12 Noon... uh-oh, technical difficulty for our Fugitive. Sounded like the voice changer broke for a second and we finally got to hear her real voice. She says she's on her way. "Double sticks in the sticks". And a lovely afternoon for it too! She want to capture these before they're gone. Black and white is the way to go, She plans to stalk them from afar, never getting too close. Safety first! She says she's all about playing by the rules. If that works for you, come find her. The voice changer malfunctioned again toward the end of the call, and out Fugitive got frustrated and said she was going to try to find some new batteries.

Wednesday 10/17 - 8AM

8AM and uh-oh! The Fugitive had a little too much wine last night. They need to get some aspirin, and a coffee, and maybe a softer mattress. They'll start with the aspirin. Lovely day for a picture of a bridge. The waterfall helps!

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Tuesday 10/16 - 4PM

4pm and the Fugitive is upset that someone would leave these beautiful old buildings, just to let them fall in on themselves. She's very fascinated though. They make for lovely pictures. She even found a list to help her locate them. You can see it too if you know where to look. She's taking her bike out on the double L road tomorrow. There are some good ones there!

Tuesday 10/16 - 12 Noon

12 noon and oh, what fun! A limerick from our elusive Fugitive! "Nate the great, I was almost late. Sorry to make you wait. So, if you want to know the state, the color plate, or even my heart rate, you have to take the bait. It involves a gate... I ran out of rhymes. Nevermind the gate. More like a fence.... And a bridge. And then nothing." Hmm...

Tuesday 10/16 - 8am

Our Fugitive says she's building quite a following on Facebook. She really is doing her best to bridge these clues for you, but insists that she can't do all of the work for you. The answer lies in the oblong circle.

Monday 10/15 - 4PM

4PM and our friendly Fugitive is making friends by the minute. She thinks you're a smart bunch! Keep those questions coming! She can't promise she'll answer every one, but will continue to give you additional clues. Now she needs to run. She can't be late. It's a spooky night for a walk indeed!

Monday 10/15 - 12 Noon

12 noon and our Fugitive thinks she's more elusive than her predecessors, but it doesn't mean she's invisible. She says she's hiding in plain sight. Today, she has her face planted firmly in a book. And no matter where you are, you can find her. If you like her as much as she likes Eagle Country, you can talk with her... but you can't catch her... that way anyway. They had to cut the call short to find some milk. She says the cayenne pepper in her coffee is way too spicy.

Monday 10/15 - 8AM

8AM and our Fugitive let us know she had a busy weekend. Tractors, hayrides, dogs, and plenty of reading! Today though, she's kicking things up a notch, and starting surveillance on you. She says if you can't find her, she'll find you. She knows just the place too! Some coffee, a rosemary and olive oil bagel, and free wi-fi will help her along.

Friday 10/12 - 4PM

‎4PM and our Fugitive hopes you've all been thanking those farmers. It is Farmer's Day, after all! She can't stress it enough! The Fugitive says they want to be your beacon! It will help you find them and this five grand. She says she's getting up close with a big green tractor, who doesn't love a hayride?! She loves them nearly as much as she loves a good maple latte. She also reminds you to not forget to look for her this weekend if no one gets her tonight. She thinks you'll know where to find her. She just hopes they bring the Irish Wolf Hound again. Hmm...

Friday 10/12 - 12 Noon

12 Noon and some more info from our elusive Fugitive. What's a farmer without a barn? They got some great pictures of some amazing barns today. They're taking a break and getting a maple creamee now. They say they can't get enough of those things! Especially since they don't seem to go to their my waist. They like the view of the lake from their vantage point. but the traffic isn't so great on this byway. They're really looking forward to tonight.

Friday 10/12 - 8AM

8AM and our call from the Fugitive is short and sweet today... Apparently today is Farmer's Day! The Fugitive wants you to thank every farmer you meet for everything they do! (We couldn't agree more!) She thinks that will be her theme today, starting with her coffee and bagel! She's going to put on her overalls for this. That's all, but it's enough to go on. Good luck!

Thursday 10/11 - 4PM

4PM and our Fugtiive says it's lonely being on the lam. She misses talking with people. She feels like she  tells you so much, but you don't always hear what she's saying. It's all in the clues. The Fugitive is all in the clues. From her pig tails, to her books, to her coffee cup. Every piece was picked and shared with you for a specific reason. It's not as simple as telling you she's wearing a red sweater and buying veggies at Hannaford.... that would be WAY too easy! No, she says maybe she'll be in the freezer section buying waffles instead.

Thursday 10/11 - 12 Noon

12 Noon, and it sounds like  someone asked the question incorrectly again - did someone call them "The Country 97.5 Radio Fugitive"? They worry that they make people nervous, and thought their pigtails made them more approachable. They suggest you make a bee line out to this spot with two buildings - one a sad hulk - and not as lame as you might imagine. The other brought back to it's original grandeur. They say that the fat lady remains to be seen. They'll be visiting some covered bridges too and don't want to forget their camera! They say "the money is my disease and your remedy!"

Thursday 10/11 - 8AM

‎8AM and the Fugitive wants you to know that while many of you are dying to know more about them, I don't want to tell you what they drive, as you shouldn't approach them in, or follow them in their car. They are sure that you know more about them than you think. The clues point the way. Look over them again. They did share that they love quirky outfits. Today they look like a bee.

Wednesday 10/10 - 4PM

4PM and the Fugitive says they're finishing up. They're surprised that no one interrupted them today. But, they got a lot of work done. Enough that they can stick to their evening plans. A stroll past the clanking, looming pieces of metal that many of you take for granted, a few items for tomorrow's trek, and then a nice salad. Maybe a movie too since they missed out on that contest on Monday. They said they like things that rhyme.

Wednesday 10/10 - 12 Noon

12 noon and our hard working Fugitive is doing some reading, some writing, and some R&R. The four R's? The last two Rs stand for Riding and Research. No rest for the weary, huh? You'll find this Fugitive riding around researching a place that has seen stops on the underground railroad, rum-running, and even a few mistakes and blunders. They urge you to think carefully, they're not as obvious as you'd hope. Think about those four Rs and you'll find the Fugitive, and the money!

Wednesday 10/10 - 8AM

‎8AM and the hunt for our Fugitive moves forward. They told us that some of you are hot on their trail. They say that on their budget, they do what they can. It's tough, but they're amazed by what people take for granted. A penny saved, a penny earned. You'll be redeemed if you can find them. Expect great things where you find the Fugitive! Maybe $5000?

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Tuesday 10/9 - 4PM

4PM and the Fugitive says that their noon clue will help point the way. They've tried to do a good job painting the picture for you. Try looking at my clues less literally. Instead, read between the lines. The Fugitive says some of you are good at this, some of you need more practice. Trust your senses. They said that you're on their track! The Fugitive says they're on the track too. "Here me roar! I'm the only one roaring here these days. So sad." They ended the call with the usual "I am the Eagle Country 97-5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive!" but added "meow" hmm....

More Photo Evidence!

Tuesday 10/9 - 12 Noon

12 Noon and another call from our Fugitive. They said they just emailed us a picture. We'll post it as soon ASAP. They say it will help find their location right now, as well as let you know where they're going later on. They said they won't be sticking around for long though. They went on to say that today is "for the birds... well, maybe not the birds. It's for the primates." They said they understand the confusion though. "The Wizard of Oz didn't help." They said "look up and you may just find me."

Tuesday 10/9 - 8AM

8AM and the Fugitive is having a rough morning. They spilled coffee on themself, they say their hair is a mess, and they're running late. They hope they won't get in trouble. They don't think you guys understand the degree of the situation they're in. Here's to a stress-free Tuesday! They ended this call by asserting that they are the Eagle Country 97-5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive, and "I'm a master of my own destiny!"

Monday, October 8, 2012

Monday 10/8 - 4PM

4PM and with the long weekend coming to a close, it's back to the books for our elusive Fugitive. They say they're going to try to make the most of the evening. They shared that it's been a busy day, and they've seen so many beautiful things including sculptures, castles, and of course the beautiful leaves. They think they'll do a little window shopping this evening, grab some finger food, and head down and see a couple of other works of art nearby. It's getting dark though, and they hope they don't fall in! They said they'd be okay though, their screams would echo for sure. Hmm.....

Monday 10/8 - 12 Noon

Our friendly Fugitive called at noon to say "in fourteen hundred and ninety-two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue, in nineteen hundred and ninety-two this boat sailed the Champlain too! Though not as historical, it made a big difference for many New Yorkers and Vermonters." They let us know that they'll be nearby, scoping the castles. They're bringing their binoculars, and maybe going for a bike ride. They may grab a maple creamee too.

Monday 10/8 - 8AM

The Fugitive is grabbing their coffee and bagel as usual, then heading out exploring. They may not have found the Pinta and the Santa Maria, but they did find the Nina. They think they can get in today. If not, they'll just catch up on some previous Fugitive history. They say they're 2 for 3. Can they make it 3 for 4?

Friday, October 5, 2012

Friday 10/5 - 4PM

The Fugitive is beat! But not so beat that they won't be heading out on the town tonight. They want to finish up some shopping. They're hoping to get a few home improvement items, but it looks like that isn't going to happen. They can definitely get the other things on my list. They're looking forward to the weekend! They didn't finish looking at this one spot that they scoped out earlier this week. It's story fascinates the Fugitive, as they've heard there is even more nearby! They also plan to hit the mall, and they've been dying for some good Italian food. They also said they'd have have their camera with them.

Friday 10/5 - 12 Noon

The Fugitive wanted to know if I got their gift this morning? They say they're "in the thick of it now" and are "having a blast out here!" They say one big thing has changed, but it's still a nice backdrop! They're sitting nearby, looking at the lake and enjoying a nice sandwich. They'll be heading to a similar spot down the road this afternoon. They may hit the store while they're there. They need a few groceries.

Late Breaking!

The Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive left us a little gift this morning...

Friday 10/5 - 8AM

The Fugitive has some fun in store today. They're heading into town to get a few things. They already have  their hiking shoes, backpack, camera, and notepad. They need to pick up a few other items. They say their pining for some coffee, too. They also don't want to forget the bug spray. They claim "no Brad Paisley around to check me for ticks, that's for sure!" They have another pit stop to make too, but didn't elaborate on that. They closed with "they said 'go west!' so that's where I'm pointing my compass."

Thursday, October 4, 2012

Thursday 10/4 - 4PM

The Fugitive says that they're an extremely social person, but they love having "me time". They understand though, that they need to put themselves out where you can find them. They don't want people knocking at their door. So tonight they're going to, quote "try something new, meet some new people and get felt. No! Not like that! Can we say corner pocket? I'll probably scratch, but don't worry, if I make a wager, you can bet your bottom dollar that it won't be coming out of your five thousand dollars!" Run out and get them!

Thursday 10/4 - 12 Noon

The Fugitive is spending a lot of time on Facebook lately. They're concerned that some of you are a bit off the mark. They said Steph and I were right yesterday though. The photo of the sign from Tuesday night was definitely in St. Albans. They also gave a shout out to Fugitive hunter Krystal Stone. She got the noon clue yesterday. The World's Tallest Filing Cabinet in Burlington. Today, with this rain, they'll be hitting the books. They'll be easy to spot. Orange hat, duck mug, pile of books, and a killer sandwich on fresh baked bread. They said they're glad they didn't bring their dirty clothes... that would have been awkward!

Thursday 10/4 - 8AM

The Fugitive is not liking this weather. They shared that when they were a kid they loved to make jack-o-lanterns. They're on a mission to find the perfect pumpkin today. They said they saw one near our tower and it was huge! But it was also not a real pumpkin.  Luckily, there's a "place nearby where they can find good one - the best yet!" They said they're easy to spot today in an orange hat and green rain boots.

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Wednesday 10/3 - 4PM

4PM and we have something in common with the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive. They think beer and pizza make a great combo! They just ordered. They say they know they should have cooked, but with this weather they didn't want to stay in! They might see if there's a movie playing, or maybe just do a little window shopping instead. They need to buy some dishes and some pans but I don't want anything generic.Hmm...

Wednesday 10/3 - Noon

The Fugitive is getting another coffee and enjoying the view. It's kind of majestic from their vantage point. They're going to stay put for a bit, read some more of their book, and then head off to tend to some filing. Not really though, as they don't think they could ever get the top drawer open! They mention picking up some office supplies. Since I'm close they'll stop by this sad looking plaza. They think it looks haunted!

Wednesday 10/3 - 8AM

8AM and another call from the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive called Big D & Bubba to let them know it's it's hump day, and a good day to head over the hump, too, if it wasn't so gloomy! Instead they're getting around to seeing a cool place nearby. They say it's gorgeous where they're heading, but don't know how close they'll get. It's a little slippery on the rocks. They're going to stick around and snap some photos. Orange is their color today

More Photo Evidence!

Late breaking, and another photo from the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive. Where is this?

Tuesday 10/2 - 4PM

The Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive is beat! Long day, but they have some great photos. They said they'd share one with us. They're taking the roundabout way home. A light dinner in the city near the bay. Maybe Chinese food. They mentioned needing new socks, and said they know where to find a good deal. A penny saved is a penny earned. They're doing some work tonight, but are thinking about a walk. They enjoy I listening to the water rush by.

Photo Evidence

Another photo from the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive! This one was accompanied by "Sorry for the fuzziness. My camera broke so I took this with my phone. I'm sure this place was stately and proud in it's day - amazing!" Anyone know where this is?

Tuesday 10/2 - Noon

The Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive is out enjoying the colorful trees, winding roads, and the mountains on one side and the lake on the other. They say they're heading north and plan to make a "pit stop at the edge for a couple photos, and then on to find some lunch. This place has the best salads. A half will do". From there they're continuing even further north to look at a specific building. They mention a  lurking building has no business being in this little hamlet. Any ideas? They gave us a lot of info in this call!

Tuesday 10/2 - 8AM

The Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive said they slept well last night and are ready to hit the ground running today. They have a lot to do today, and are starting their day the usual way, then some writing, a trip to the grocery store to grab a few deals. Everyone loves a reward now and then. From there, it's over the river and through the woods... although it's not a river at all. But the colors will be awesome!

Monday, October 1, 2012

Monday 10/1 - Photo evidence

As promised, a gift from the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive. Cute cup!

Monday 10/1 - 4PM

4PM and the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive has no bars. They told Lobo that their cell signal isn't very good right now. They mentioned seeing "the most interesting rock on my way here" though. Before they cut out, they said they have wi-fi where they're going and would send something useful. The call cut out shortly after... What could they be sending?

Monday 10/1 - Noon

12 noon and the Fugitive would have loved to go leaf peaking, but says it's not in the stars today. They're going to stay indoors today to "get my eagle on". Maybe a smoothie too. They had to make the call quick, as they're trying to park and hate all of these speed bumps...

Monday 10/1 - 8AM

8AM and the Eagle Country 97.5 Five Thousand Dollar Fugitive seems a little peeved about our newsletter-exclusive interview with criminologist Drew Freedman. While they called him a "quack", they did confirm that some of his predictions about the Fugitive are true. But which ones? The Fugitive says they're wearing duck boots today, and are heading out to grab their coffee and get some reading done.
